This domestic paradise is a minecraft house built to real life scale. That is to say, you’ll find yourself in a minecraft house that is built to the scale of an actual house. This has the effect of making you feel very, very small. Not quite as small as Douglas Adams’ Total Perspective Vortex, but close. There are all sorts of oversized minecraft builds. Ant Farm Survival is perhaps the most famous of the minecraft maps built to real life scale – but the hook of this particular life size minecraft map is that there’s an entire house to explore. I’m talking extensive real estate.

Want to explore a large, abandoned old mansion? Of course you do. This minecraft mansion has over a hundred rooms, each left to the whims of nature. The old grand halls are empty now, but for you. There’s something very ‘The Shining’ about this minecraft map. It’s not strictly a Shining Minecraft Map, but with a little imagination, it possibly could be. There are extensive and somewhat overgrown grounds to explore as well, including a giant tree which has no doubt been growing since before the foundations of the mansion were poured. There’s also the family mausoleum to visit, a gazebo nestled amidst flowering trees and many more fascinating little nooks and crannies.

A minecraft map covering 42 square miles of irradiated Chernobyl. Download Chernobyl in minecraft and explore the abandoned Russian city, infested by mutant creatures. It includes the disabled nuclear reactor, abandoned factories and houses, city infrastructure including massive power poles, their wires long since rotted away by radioactive acid rain. There’s even the infamous Pripyat ferris wheel to frolic around – and by frolic, I of course, mean run screaming around whilst gnawing on the rotten flesh of zombies – which is still healthier than actual food found in the region today.

This minecraft map has something of a Mirror’s Edge feel to it.
