Seriously though, this is a map that parkour enthusiasts and newcomers alike will love. All you need is the ability to double tap the up arrow and you’re in business! This video gives you a glimpse of the sort of leaping antics you’ll be performing with the greatest of ease. Or failing at with the greatest of fail. Your fate is in your hands!
What makes an amazing minecraft adventure map? Landscapes that take one’s breath away. Traps and tricks to boggle the mind. A story that entices rather than plods. The Temple Of The Three Gods is a minecraft adventure map that not only meets all these criteria, but blows them out of the water.
This map has character. Far from simply channeling you through a story it tempts you towards it, which is quite a different thing. The map also has no qualms about putting you through your paces, sinking your time into consuming tasks (like the almost never-ending stairs that begin the game.)
The creators also clearly understand something about pacing. There are slow moments, almost tedious moments, but they lead to high excitement and wonder. In addition to the main quests are side quests. All the quests require a certain amount of puzzling and ingenuity and success is not always guaranteed.
The rewards for all this work are great however, with a great temple to explore that almost defies understanding with its sheer size and scope. It took a great deal of restraint not to post spoiler-ish pictures of this place, but I will urge you to discover it for yourself.
Oh and there’s a maze. A maze that may very well drive you mad, especially if you happen to be ever so slightly claustrophobic. All of this and the map is good for 1 – 4 players, fun for all the family – or at least four of them.
Biomes. In Cubes. Cubic biomes. That’s a pretty apt summary of this minecraft survival map. Though there are many like it, there aren’t many that are quite as unexpectedly dangerous. Spawners, spawners everywhere!
There’s an awful lot of bridge building ahead for the avid minecraft player, also an awful lot of cultivation and an awful lot of spawner destroying. So many spawners. Although the premise of the map is simple, there’s actually rather a lot of work involved in completing the challenges. Although you’re really supposed to play the map on easy mode or higher, it’s still quite a fun map to play on peaceful.
What’s most enjoyable about The Cubes is the fact that each little cube must be cultivated and tamed. Stone must be mined, wood must be harvested and trees replanted. Then one is off to another cube to harvest some handy cacti and dig some sand for more glass.
Are you ready for a new, ultra challenging minecraft survival map? I hope so because 2×2 Square Survival is a Minecraft survival island with a twist – the twist being the almost complete lack of soil in which to grow crops, spawn animals and you know, survive.
In addition to the basic survival challenges there are also hidden areas to investigate and plenty of challenges to complete, over fifty unique challenges in fact! It is compatible with various minecraft snapshots and with the base game, so you can get as deep into minecraft challenge mode as you like, or simply build a little boat and spend your days floating around your tiny island, escaping predators through the art of paddling or sail or magnets or whatever force is supposed to be propelling a minecraft boat.
Don’t just survive, thrive and complete a monument! Olympus was the mythical home of the gods, but the crater like hell valley you find yourself in leaves you feel anything but like a god. The view as you leave the crater of Mt Olympus is awe inspiring, but there are no gentle olive groves or peaceful Greek villages. There’s an awful lot of darkness and lava and an ominous dark cloud floats all o’er the land.
Traps and tricks abound on Mt Olympus, placed there by vengeful gods with a twisted sense of humor, no doubt. In order to survive you’ll need to carve out a little nniche of paradise in among the lava hell, and in order to complete the map you’ll need to collect a bunch of animal eggs and avoid the temptation to use them to get a couple of pork chops or strips of leather because you’ll need them to complete the monument.
This map is compatible both with the current 1.3.2 release and also the 12w38b snapshot, if you’re the sort of person who likes introducing unstable features into your game (and I highly recommend it.)
There be dungeons, there be dragons, there be challenges of all kind in this dangerous and exciting minecraft survival map.
