Two large mountains. I could write more about that, but this is really just a minecraft map comprised pretty much of two very large mountains. It is geared to be a survival map, and it makes a very large and very intimidating survival experience. Shortly after spawn, I was looking for a downed plane passenger to snack on.
There is a fairly generous starting chest, which contains diamond tool, armor, a bed, and the makings of a portal to THE END. There’s also enough obsidian to get oneself to the nether and then build another portal which might very well spit one out somewhere a little less arid and foresty. (As it turns out, building another portal has a decent chance of taking you to the flat land surrounding the mountain build, which is where I took this beautiful image of a minecraft mountain vista.
Aside from the starting supplies, you have nothing but snowy sharp peaked mountains and thick pine trees covering the land below. Creative mode and cheats are disabled, which is a bit of a downer if you were hoping to soar like an eagle.
I had a lot of fun exploring this map, especially as I chose the option of building a portal, getting off the mountain and then ‘rediscovering’ the range from just outside the borderlands. It’s a really beautiful map, and quite a good survival experience to boot. Diamond boot, that is.
